Bio:
Early in his career, Justin worked as both a carpenter and architectural illustrator, developing a passion for architectural design and construction detailing. Both of these early work experiences have profoundly influenced his approach to design and construction.
In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree (summa cum laude) from the prestigious Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, New York.
He earned his license to practice Architecture in New York State in 2002 and has been a proud serving member of The American Institute of Architects ever since.
Justin has been affiliated with several published and award winning architectural firms throughout his career in the Hudson Valley region where he has successfully contributed and collaborated on many notable projects.
He has been the designer and planner for a wide variety of clientele & building types as well as several master-planning strategies for estates and college campuses.
Justin was the exclusive project architect for many extraordinary private residential estates, dining halls, restaurants, retail shops, schools and visitor centers including a private sports complex in the Shawangunks in upstate New York. He has worked up and down the Hudson River from Manhattan to the Adirondacks and beyond.
In 2008, he founded Highlands Architecture pllc as an independent architectural practice focused on providing exceptional design services for an eclectic mix of clientele and building types.
In 2009, Justin’s interest in sustainable design and building practices led him to pursue his goal of becoming a LEED Accredited Professional, reinforcing his belief that all good design should be responsible and responsive to the natural environment.
When he is not working, Justin can be found enjoying the woods, valleys and streams of the majestic Hudson Highlands and spending time with his family.
Born and raised in Beacon, New York, Justin has lived in the Hudson Valley for over 40 years.
He currently resides in his hometown with his beautiful wife and two children whom he credits as being the greatest accomplishments of his life.
